I think that the meeting had alot of positives. But I also think some of us didn't get a chance to talk because of alot of complaining. How are we going to get the office converted to a club house? My understanding is, that it is not in their plans. So how do we make it in ours?
ReplyDeleteFrom what Loralei (Centex) said after the meeting, it was a very normal "first" HOA meeting. It's been 12-18+ months since many of us moved in. This was the first time many of us had a chance to have our voices heard and all those concerns just flowed. I truly believe that having more regular focused and structured meetings will help us accomplish more and have more voices heard.
ReplyDeleteAs for the club house plans, that is something that I think many of us want to see happen. I'm only speaking for myself here, but the cost is going the biggest stumbling block, I fear. As I understand it now, the current plans for the sales center is for it to be leveled and a home built there. So, from CTX's perspective, that's a 200,000-300,000 home that they won't get to build. Nevertheless, I think it is something we should explore because it would add so much more value to the community. I am afraid the cost of purchasing it and converting it will be prohibitive; however, I believe it's something we should consider.
